Chequers Court is to see a multi-million pound investment and redevelopment over the next few years.

 

Phase I, the first phase included improving the paving and infil of voids on the main pedestrianised area of Chequers Court together with the removal of a bridge link.

 

Phase II  comprised the refurbishment of units 4 - 12 Chequers Court.

 

Phase III saw the demolition of the old Threshers unit and bridge link and the construction of Clintons, Starbucks and Vision Express

 

Future planned works include the refurbishment of the first floor above Bakers Oven and the charity shops.

 

It is also proposed to demolish the Inland Revenue building and construct an 80,000 sq ft shopping centre.  Further details will be available shortly of this major investment programme.
